Licensing made simple
WP Cake connects creators with customers looking for high-quality WordPress products. Every product available through our marketplace is provided under a license that explains how and where it may be used.
What your license includes
Unless stated otherwise on the product page, purchasing a product gives you:
- the right to download and use the product,
- access to updates for the period specified on the product page,
- access to technical support, if included by the vendor,
- permission to customize the product for your own project.
Ownership of the product and its intellectual property remains with its original creator.
Personal License
A Personal License allows you to use the product on one website owned or managed by you. It cannot be shared, redistributed or used as part of a product offered for resale.
Commercial License
A Commercial License allows you to use the product in a commercial project, including a website created for a client. The number of permitted websites depends on the license selected during purchase.
Extended License
An Extended License may allow broader commercial use, including use within a product or service made available to multiple end users. Specific conditions are displayed on the relevant product page.
What is not permitted
You may not:
- resell or redistribute the original product files,
- share your download or license key with another person,
- publish the product on file-sharing websites,
- claim the product or its source code as your own,
- use one license on more websites than permitted,
- use the product for unlawful or harmful purposes.
Updates and support
The availability and duration of updates and support may vary between products and vendors. Full details are displayed on the product page before purchase.
After the support or update period ends, the product may continue to work, but access to future updates or vendor assistance may require renewal.
